( he’s been settling in decently well, admittedly. the people here are cool, if not eccentric and kind of freaky at times, but there’s been no shortage of hospitality. it’s an adjustment for sure but he’s resilient, the type to bounce back and make the best of things.

and he’s glad he’s been able to make a few acquaintances so far. ashe being one of them. he seems like a good guy and that’s all raihan can hope for — a good slew of people to survive with. friendship isn’t unnatural for him, after all. no sense in not trying to make the best of this.

so he ends up texting ashe a few after their little first encounter. )

Gonna go grab some grub. You wanna meet up?

( it’s ... kind of lonely eating alone. )

[Once Ashe grew used to the new place things didn't seem as strange as before. He had a job teaching at Manuela's school, his friends were here, and he started to know more people. He was glad that there were welcoming people that made things easier. The only thing that he hadn't made peace yet was his cat ears and tail. Ashe learned it was part of living in this new place, still he wasn't a big fan of it. It was something he'd have to get used to.

Ashe flipped through his lesson plan when he heard his device go off. He quickly learned it made communicating much easier. He smiled when he saw the name, Raihan was one of the new people he met that helped him settle too. ]

Sure! Where are you going to eat?

No clue yet.
Figured I’d wander until a place looked good.
Want me to swing by your place?
Text me your deets.

( he did just unironically call them deets. this millennial has no shame. )

[Ashe learned new terms too.]

[Ashe texted his address and stretched his arms over his head while he waited. He didn't let Raihan know about his cat ears and tail that came back, but he's sure he wouldn't mind.]

( he shows up about fifteen minutes later. he’s seen a few folks with the uh... moonblessings so far, and he doesn’t quite Get It, but hey. he isn’t going to judge.

[Ashe finished putting his hood over his cat ears when he heard a knock on his door.]

Coming!

[Ashe walked over to the door and opened it with a smile.]

Hi Raihan! How are you? I'm ready to go whenever you want to leave.

( he pauses, eyes lifting up to the hood. he blinks a few times. )

...What’s with the hood? It’s kinda hot out.

( not like he’s one to talk with how his hair always is. )

[Ashe fidgeted with the side of his hood as he shifted from foot to foot.]

Well, I have these cat ears I'm still not used to them. I was going to try to hide them, but I couldn't find my hat so I thought a hood would be good. I guess it's pretty obvious.

[He would probably stand out more with one his winter hoodies than his cat ears.

Oh. That sucks, man. Sorry.

( there’s an apologetic smile as he lightly taps the other man’s shoulder, very lightly. )

Wear the hood. Looks good on you. Let’s go.

Thanks, I never expected to get them.

[Ashe isn't sure why the spot on his shoulder is warm or why his cheeks heat up after he said that. He pushed it aside as he smiled back. He grabbed his wallet, his device, and closed the door behind him.]

So, where were you thinking of going?

[He forgot about the cat tail that appeared today too. Well, he wanted to forget about the cat tail behind him. He really hoped his tail didn't brush Raihan too.]

( for now, raihan ignores it. after all, it isn’t his moon and this whole chroma generation thing is finally starting to click to him. body heat, check. currency? check. just the way of the world, he supposes.

Okay, we can do that. There's so many things here that I haven't tried that I'm not too picky about where we go.

[Ashe is glad that the tail hasn't bother Raihan. He really wished he had some control over it though. He just hoped it would stay in place while he was walking.]

Back home there aren't too many places where I can eat. Well, it's not like here, but we do have some good ones. How about you? Where do you like to eat when you're home?

( he's pretty sure there's only one ashe ubert out there, so... yeah. he's going to send a message. )

I wanted to let you know that Sylvain seems to be going through something we experienced with someone else here once already. He's not waking up. Someone we know said people tend to be out for about a week when this happens, and when they wake up they remember going home and more time having progressed for them there. So that's likely what's happening.

Felix is with him right now. I'm not sure he wants any company, but it's important you guys know what's going on.

[Ashe something was wrong when Sylvain didn't greet him that morning. He just assumed that Sylvain went through a late morning, sometimes that happened, but he never imagined something like this. It would explain Felix's mood too. Ashe knew his friends long enough to know that whatever was bothering them they wouldn't tell him no matter how many times he asked. It was better to wait, until they were ready to talk to ask them. However, now he's worried about what's going to happen to Felix or Claude or their whole group really.

Thank you for letting me know Claude. I was wondering about Sylvain, but now that I know what happened I'll try to figure out what to do when Sylvain comes back. How is everything else right now? I'm out now with Ky he wanted to see the area for a bit before we came back for lunch. I'll be back soon.

Stable enough for now. Probably not a whole lot is going to change until Sylvain does wake up, and when he does we'll just have to see how things go from there. There's no real telling what he's going to have gone through or what state he'll wake up in until he does, so it may not be something easily prepared for.

We might be able to prepare for it, but we can do our best when it happens. We can still be there to welcome him when he wakes up then we can figure out what to do from there. Is Sylvain alright? He's just sleeping, right? Felix is with him where's Dimitri?

Just sleeping or something indistinguishable from it, yeah. He just can't be woken up. We have to wait until he wakes up on his own, which like I said usually takes about a week in cases where these things happen.

Dimitri's with me right now. I let everyone in the group know except Chip; Grant's telling them himself. So we're all on the same page now.

[While Ashe wasn't comforted by the fact that Sylvain would be sleeping for a week at least it wasn't because of a injury on the battlefield. Still, he wondered how everyone else would be able to make it through the week. Well, worrying about things hasn't helped him in the past it would help him now. The most he could do is just take it day by day.]

Okay, well, I'll do what I can to help everyone else while we wait for Sylvain. Me and Ky should be home soon, but we can pick up something if you want anything.

[It soothed Ashe to know that Dimitri wasn't alone too. Another thing he didn't have to worry about. He could make sure that they had things to eat. It would be one less thing for them to worry about while they waited for Sylvain.]
